Showtime for Caterham’s best gardeners

What happens when the ‘Beast from the east’ is followed by the warmest May for over 100 years? And when June heatwaves bake our gardens two years in a row?

Find out by coming along to the Summer Show on Saturday 7 July. Held by one of Caterham’s oldest societies (Caterham & District Horticultural Society), the show promises a colourful spectacle and gardening advice is readily at hand for you.

It takes place at Hillcroft School, Chaldon Rd, Caterham CR3 5PG. The show will open to the public from 14.30 with presentation of cups at 16.30. The entrance fee is only 50 pence or free for children and adults that enter more than six classes.

Anyone may enter the show. You don’t need to be an expert. Just submit an easy form to the email address below, with an entrance fee under fifty pence per entry, no later than 20.00 on Thursday 5 July. All winning entrants aged 6 – 16 years will receive a rosette.
